You’ve probably already tried
Maybe you’ve tried massage, meditation, breathwork, yoga, or simply giving yourself more time to rest.
And maybe you’ve had the frustrating experience of lying there while your mind keeps going, your body stays tense, and relaxation still feels just out of reach.
That doesn’t mean you’re bad at relaxing. And it doesn’t mean you need to try harder.
A different question
When your body is still in stress mode, lying down and telling yourself to relax doesn’t necessarily change what’s happening underneath. Your body can be still while your mind keeps racing and everything inside you still feels switched on.
Instead of asking you to quiet your mind or consciously relax your body, I use a sequence of gentle touch at specific points on the body, then pay close attention to how your system responds.
As your body begins to settle, breathing often becomes slower and easier, muscles soften, restlessness decreases, and the mind can begin to quiet too.
You don’t have to make any of that happen.

About Brenda
For years, I saw the same pattern in my massage practice.
Some people could relax on the table and feel better afterward, but the relief often didn’t last. Their bodies went right back to tensing and bracing under the same chronic stress.
Others struggled to settle even during the massage. Their muscles stayed tense, their breathing stayed shallow, and their minds kept going, even when they were exhausted and desperately wanted to relax.
That changed the question I was asking.
Instead of How do I get this muscle to relax? I became curious about What helps this whole person begin to settle?
That curiosity eventually became NeuroCalm Touch™.
My interest in this work is personal, too.
I lived with widespread pain from fibromyalgia for more than 25 years before entering remission. My own experience taught me how different it is to work with the body rather than continually asking it to do something it isn’t ready to do.
Today, as a Registered Massage Therapist, that is the approach I bring to every NeuroCalm Touch™ session.
What NeuroCalm Touch™ is
NeuroCalm Touch™ uses gentle finger stimulation at specific acupressure, reflexology and cranial nerve points on the hands, feet, breastbone, face, head and ears.
But the same sequence isn’t simply repeated on everyone.
Your body’s response helps guide the treatment.
No deep pressure. Nothing to endure or push through.
No performance. Nothing you need to make happen
As I work through the points, I pay close attention to how your body responds. If something seems to increase tension or move you away from settling, I leave it out. The points your body responds well to become part of your personalized treatment.
The method adapts to you. You don’t have to adapt to the method.
Why GENTLE works differently
More pressure isn’t always the answer.
We’ve been taught that if a muscle won’t release, we need to press harder. If something won’t stretch, stretch it further. That getting results sometimes has to hurt.
But when pressure becomes painful, your body may respond by protecting itself even more. Muscles tighten. You brace. And the very thing we’re trying to help your body do, soften and settle, becomes harder.
That’s why NeuroCalm Touch™ doesn’t use pain to create change.
Rather than forcing tense muscles to release, we work gently with your body so it has less reason to keep bracing in the first place.
You don’t have to endure the treatment to benefit from it.
What happens in a session
i.
Every session begins before you lie down. A brief grounding exercise invites your nervous system to begin settling before table work starts.
ii.
Fingertip stimulation of precise points on the hands, feet, breastbone, face, head, and ears — no deep pressure, nothing to brace against.
iii.
I’m continuously observing how your nervous system responds. Anything that isn’t landing as safety is removed and replaced. No two sessions are identical.

It’s quiet, calming and peaceful. I came seeking help to reduce inflammation and left feeling present in the moment, relaxed and calm — something foreign to me as a person always on the go.

Your first session
One hour that belongs entirely to your nervous system.
One hour
No commitment to a series
Eligible for reimbursement through most extended health benefit plans (RMT receipt provided).
It’s not a promise of a particular outcome. It’s one hour. One appointment.
One new experience for a nervous system that has been working very hard for a very long time.
You’ve been carrying more than most people can see, for longer than most people realise. And through all of it, your body was never working against you. It was doing the only thing it knew how to do — trying to keep you safe.
